The Basic Leather Binding is by far the most requested binding here at The Treasured Book. This binding can be used on any type of book, no matter its original state. Whether it is a hardbound book or a softbound book you send to us, we turn it into a quality leather soft binding. The leather we use for this binding is top grain cowhide that has been mineral tanned, leaving your book with a soft and luxurious feel that needs no break-in period to perform. From the moment you open it and for years to come, your Bible or book will feel comfortable in your hand. Even though we refer to this as a basic binding, there are a variety of options you may select in order to personalize it. Options for personalizing your basic leather bound Bible or book range from the colors of the leather and ribbon(s) to the style of spine and font. You can choose what suits your needs and preferences.
For our basic leather binding we use a locally-sourced leather, and so the colors available are what we have in stock at the time of your order. If you want a special color that does not appear on our website, you are welcome to contact us; we will see if it can be obtained through our dealer.
The basic binding comes with one ribbon marker. However, for a small fee, more ribbons can generally be added. Simply include the number of ribbons you’d like, their preferred colors, and the order that you want them (front to back). We will contact you if there are any further questions.
Additionally, you can choose the style of spine that you would like – the plain style or the blind tooled rib style.
The base price includes the words “Holy Bible” stamped on the spine and on the cover in silver or gold. It also includes your name (up to 24 characters) stamped on the cover. Should you not want those items stamped, just let us know in the note; we can leave one or more of them off.
When you are finished making your personalization choices, add it to your cart and follow the purchase instructions. You will be asked to pay a deposit upon check out. Once we receive that deposit, the leather will be reserved for you. Follow our instructions on packing and shipping your Bible or book to us and then sit back and wait. When we receive it, if we have any questions, we will contact you before we begin.. We will contact you with pictures when it is complete so that you can log in and make your final payment. We will ship it to you when payment is made in full.
